Warner Brothers Studio Tour London is a museum full of props and sets from the Harry Potter film franchise. Harry Potter fans can catch a peek of the Nimbus 2,000, enter the headmaster’s office, and sit in the great hall for a spell.
The museum also offers a sneak peek into the magical world of filmmaking, showcasing the green screen techniques, animatronics, and costumes that were used to bring mythical creatures to the big screen. A truly fantastic experience, you will feel like you’ve received your acceptance letter to Hogwarts and are about to learn the secrets to unlocking the wizard or witch within.
The museum is located in Leavesden Aerodrome, which produced aircraft during WWII and was the largest factory in the world at the time. After going through periods of abandonment, the warehouse was eventually seen as the perfect size to be converted into film stages. James Bond GoldenEye was the first film produced there in 1994. Later, in 2,000, the studios were leased to Warner Bros for the filming of Harry Potter over ten years. By the end of the filming, Warner Bros decided to purchase the studios outright. The Harry Potter museum is held in studios J and K.
