Tibidabo Amusement Park

Opened in 1900 on the peak of Mount Tibidabo in Barcelona, Spain, Tibidabo is celebrated as one of the world’s very first amusement parks. The first rides installed at the park were a funicular railway and a tram. Attractions were added throughout the decade, including bowling and shooting, telescopes and binoculars, and automatons. In 1915 an aerial tram brought renewed interest in the park, offering riders a birdseye view of the hilltop and domain she overlooked.
Some of the parks popular modern attractions include:
Avió: a replica of the first flight from Barcelona to Madrid, this flight simulator has riders sit in an old plain tethered to metal beams as they soar through the skies.
Muntanya Russa: a high speed roller coaster set into the side of the hill with fantastic views of the valley below.
L'Embruixabruixes aerial railway: the first big attraction in the park has been renovated with holograms and virtual environments.
Giradabo: a giant Ferris Wheel set atop the tallest peak in the park.
Hurakan: side by side seats spin forward and backward while rotating 360 degrees.
