The world’s first museum devoted to leprechauns, the Leprechaun Museum in Dublin was opened in 2010. The museum is centered around Irish storytelling, and is separated into themed rooms that are accompanied by stories and tales of leprechauns and other mythical creatures of Ireland.
The Leprechaun Museum is designed as a storytelling attraction to exhibit Ireland’s rich storytelling history. Rooms are set up with props while accounts of mythical creatures are regaled to an entranced audience. A wooden replica of the Giant’s Causeway is housed in one of the themed rooms. The museum also makes use of masterful optical illusions, perhaps the best being a room that makes the visitor appear to get smaller as the furniture seems to get bigger, allowing you to feel like a leprechaun.
