Louwman Museum

From an Aston Martin DB5 used in James Bond to a car owned by Winston Churchill to Elvis Presley’s Cadillac, car enthusiasts will find a wide variety of classic and rare automobiles at Louwman Museum. Housing 230 cars, the museum has the largest collection of autos from before 1910. It holds the last remaining Eysink car produced by the manufacturer from Amersfoort.
Automobiles don’t just line the floor of the museum, but adorn the walls in the form of large prints by famed car illustrator Frederick Gordon Crosby. Crosby had the unique opportunity of capturing the birth and growth of the automotive industry. At age 23, he was hired by Autocar magazine to travel the world and illustrate new cars as the debuted. His artwork for the magazine lasted from 1908 all the way up to World War II, offering a unique look at the blossoming industry as new technologies were employed and new designs introduced.
