Isabella Plantation is one of the most beautiful gardens in England, boasting an array of hues from its huge assortment of flowers. The walk through gives each visitor an astonishing insight to what Mother Nature is capable of creating. With clear ponds ringed by vibrant flowers and elegant trees reaching heavenward, the landscape is one of the most awe-inspiring in London.
Originally a Victorian Woodland plantation that was planted in the 1830’s, the area quickly became a garden for native and exotic plants. One such exotic plant is the Kurume Azaleas, brought over from Japan in the 1920’s. There is also a large collection of Rhododendrons and Camellias. The garden is run with nature in mind, in an effort to keep the design as organic as possible.
In 2014, Isabella Plantation received a facelift, adding scenic waterfalls to the existing streams, as well as a new gazebo.
