Hotel Inntel Zaandam

When One views the Inntel Hotel for the first time, the question immediately comes to mind whether it is made up of actual houses stacked atop one another, or just made to look like it. While the rich exterior plays on the idea of a kind of house totem pole, they are simply facades meant to illustrate the variety of architecture in the Zaandam area. The architect never meant for the hotel to shock visitors with its design, but to please them with its combination of house styles found throughout Zaandam.
From cottages to mansions, architect Wilfried van Winden has offered a house for every kind of person. The idea was to deviate from the bland concrete and brick boxes that usually pass for hotels and give visitors a literal home away from home. And that’s just what Inntel Hotel does, making guests feel like they are staying in one of the traditional Dutch homes in the area while taking in the culture and people of the city. How could anything else stack up against this?
