Europa Park

PictureEuropa-Park by Oliver Bruchez/Flickr
Perfect for travelers hoping to catch the culture of several European countries in one day, Europa Park aims to give a realistic taste of all of Europe. Aptly named, Europa Park is separated into more than a dozen “countries,” with each area themed as the country it represents. The themed sections are: Adventureland, ARTHUR - In the Minimoys Kingdom, Austria, England, France, Germany, Greece, Grimm's Enchanted Forest, Iceland, Ireland – Children's World, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Scandinavia, Spain, and Switzerland.

Along with authentic food and culture from each country, visitors can encounter themed architecture, as well as rides that offer a feel for the nation. Some examples of themed rides in the park are:

Jungle Rafts: a ride on a tow boat through the African settlement.

Tiroler Log Flume: a thrilling ride through the World of Diamonds in Austria on a traditional log flume.

London Bus: A ride on a magic carpet.

Eurosat CanCan Coaster: Indoor coaster in France area similar to Disney’s Space Mountain.

Voletarium: Located in Germany. A flying theater ride that takes adventurers on a 5 minute virtual tour over Europe’s best-known cities and attractions.

Cassandra's Curse: An indoor ride filled with illusions and special effects.

Old Mac Donald’s Tractor Fun: A tractor ride in Ireland.

Pirates in Batavia: Ride with pirates along dangerous waters in a boat in the Netherlands.

Euro-Mir: A fast spinning coaster designed to resemble Russian space missions.

Jungfrau Glacier Flight: A spinning, high speed plane ride.
