Electric Ladyland

A museum devoted to all things fluorescent, Electric Ladyland specializes in presenting materials that give off fluorescence under ultraviolet light. One of the most fascinating exhibits includes a display case full of different kinds of rocks and stones that look unassuming at first, but light up with an array of brilliant colors when the ultraviolet light is turned on. The glow of the stones is a natural reaction due to the properties of their makeup.
Much of the museum is taken up by eccentric shapes coated in neon phosphorescence, giving visitors the vibe of stepping back into the late 1960’s. Guests enter the rooms in normal lighting, seeing only the oddly shaped landscape created by the museum’s owner. But when the black light is turned on, the shapes glow with psychedelic colors that take the visitor on a journey through the strange and the thrilling.
