As the oldest operating mini golf course in the United States, East Potomac Mini Golf offers unique bragging rights for those who have the chance to play a round there. Located within walking distance of the National Mall, this 18 hole course is family friendly and provides the perfect outdoor break from shopping and standing in lines.
The mini golf course was opened in 1930, while the adult golf course was completed nine years prior to that. The East Potomac Golf Course is easily the most popular of the three golf courses in Washington D.C. It is famous for having some of the most outstanding views of the city’s memorials and monuments.
President Warren G. Harding was one of the first people to golf at the course after it opened in 1921. And the course is not the only claim to fame in the area. The Potomac Grille, which serves golfers as well as the general public, was said in 2017 by The Washington Post to have one of the best hamburgers under $10 with its renowned bacon cheeseburger.
