BMW Factory Tour

Two impressive BMW buildings stand across the street from each other, both offering their own style of tour for visitors.
BMW Headquarters stands in its famous four-cylinder shape, a tall tower that looks like four siloes stuck together at the center. The tower serves as a manufacturing plant and offers tours that take visitors through the production process and design of its iconic automobiles. The history of the company is laid out as well, pointing to the excellent automobiles that made the company a global favorite.
Across the street from the headquarters building is BMW Welt, (BMW World) which acts as a showroom for all current BMW models, including cars, motorcycles, and brands like Rolls Royce and Mini. Shops selling BMW merchandise and promotional items can be found within. Tours take guests on a ride through some of the most elegant, extreme, and exotic cars crafted by the corporation, and walk visitors through the production process of these magnificent machines.
BMW Welt is also the building where custom-made cars are picked up by those who ordered them. When a buyer comes to retrieve their vehicle, the automobile is dramatically lifted on round elevator platforms from lower levels while the guest waits in a huge glass paneled room.
